The Impact Mentor Program has created meaningful connections all year long across the Gulfport School District. 💙

Throughout the year, seniors from Gulfport High School have spent time mentoring younger students through reading, projects, games, homework help, and encouragement.

Many of our seniors shared that while they hoped to make an impact on the younger students, the experience ended up impacting them even more. Watching these Admirals step into leadership roles, become mentors, and form genuine bonds with students who truly look up to them has been incredible to see. ⚓✨

Last week, we welcomed back members of the Class of 2026 to Gulfport Central Middle School for one final walk through the halls where so many memories were made. Now, as graduation night arrives, we’re wishing each of them the very best in this next chapter. Congratulations to the Class of 2026 — your future is bright. 🎓💙🧡

Our 8th-grade students at Gulfport Central Middle School received an exciting introduction to the world of engineering from employees at Austal USA!

Students learned about career opportunities in engineering and drafting through hands-on activities involving 2D and 3D drawings, perspective drawings, piping, circuits, buoyancy systems, chemical mixing, and other engineering-related tasks.

We were thrilled to welcome Austal USA for an engaging afternoon that gave our students a closer look at the many possibilities within the engineering field!

Our nation is forever indebted to the brave men and women of the U.S. Armed Forces who lost their lives while serving in the military. On Memorial Day, we pause to remember, honor, and reflect on their sacrifice. #Repost #MDE

Fifth graders from our elementary schools toured Gulfport Central Middle School today as they prepare for the next step in their educational journey. Students explored campus, met staff, and got a firsthand look at middle school life ahead of the new school year in July! 💙🧡

The Gulfport School District recently celebrated our annual Employee Pinning Ceremony! 💙

Employees were recognized for every five-year milestone reached in the district, honoring their dedication and service to our students, schools, and community. The afternoon was filled with smiles, laughter, special memories, and plenty of hugs to go around.

Free summer meals are returning! ☀️🍎 Beginning Monday, June 8, through July 17, the Gulfport School District Child Nutrition Department will provide free breakfast and lunch for children 18 and under, and 21 and younger if disabled, at select school locations across the district. Celebrate a morning of outstanding student musicians on Friday, May 9, at 11:00 a.m., featuring performances from the GHS, GCMS, and BVMS bands. 🎶

The day begins with Senior Signing Day at 9:00 a.m. in the GHS Band Hall as we honor our graduating musicians. 🎓

Admission is $5 for adults, $3 for children ages 5–18, and free for district employees with ID.

It’s Teacher Appreciation Week, and we’re proud to celebrate the incredible educators across the Gulfport School District. Their dedication, passion, and commitment make a lasting impact on our students and schools every day.
